Aren't many hummable tracks? Go get their album '1'. They're one of the most consistent bands on the planet, with literally dozens of number 1 singles and while some bands have a masterpiece album, the Beatles arguably had 4 or 5. There is constant bickering over which is the best album which just shows how utterly great and huge their catalogue of songs is.

Also, the sign in the background (if you're referring to what I think you are) is "carrying pictures of Chairman Mao" from Revolution.

I think The Beatles are several bands in one, during a decade when bands were rather different to what they are today. Everything that came afterwards was somehow connected to what they did. They are extremely important whether you like them or not, but it's not a crime to not like them, and I think it's recommended to say how you feel, they would've thought so.

Cunctando, thanks for not insulting me. These days, it's like a taboo to say you don't like the beatles. The beatles were NOT the only musicians alive during their time. I'm sure their music wasn't radically different from the music of bands that came 1 or 2 years before them. Everyone's music is based on already-existing music. They might make a few changes here and there but very few people invent new genres. The beatles didn't
