Private Dancer peaked at number three on the US album sales chart and sold consistently throughout the year. It also remained at number-one for five weeks on the US R &B album sales chart. Private Dancer remains one of the best-selling albums of all time. Worldwide the album has been estimated having sold up to ten to eleven million copies, but also some sources estimating it sold over 20 million copies, thus making Private Dancer Turner's most successful solo album.

I assume all of these people that are saying her hair is crazy were either born in the 80's or 90's... In the 80's, big hair was in style, whether wild and untamed or curled and teased (aka- Designing Women). As for her being too old for "this",.. are we ever too old for anything? Once you become an adult, you live. By the way, this is the best video by a female of the 80's, along with Private Dancer (my favorite all time); and perhaps the best song

Over the top make-up, the streetwalking clothes, the gravelly voice full of Soul & Emotion. Without any of this, She wouldn't be Tina Turner, and she wouldn't be as huge as a star as she is. I love the very things about her that people criticize, and find odd.
