Winterize Outside Pipes
Uploaded by: HandymanMatters
Video Description:
Winterize Outside Pipes - Andy Bell of Handyman Matters teaches us how to get the extra water out of our sprinklers to make sure the pipes don't bust. First turn off the water to the house and connect the hose to the bottom of the sprinkler hookup. This lets the air blow through the sprinkler system; you want to have between 35 and 40 PSI otherwise the sprinklers will be damaged. Open each valve by hand and wait for all of the water to be evacuated from the pipes and then they are winterized.
