u do know that its an infered led so it only appers red because of the video camara it shouldnt give of any visible light to the human eye good trick to do is point a digital video camara at the wii sensor bar when its on you will see it lights up on the camara but you cant see it

Are you using an infrared LED? A visible light red LED wouldn't work I don't think.
You can see the light of the LED on the pen that Johnny makes, but I think that's just because IR light is visible to digital cameras.
