The faceAPI's face tracking algorithms track head position AND rotation in 3D - that is, X, Y and Z. The head tracking in the faceAPI is robust to large head rotations, changing facial expressions, facial hair, glasses, sunglasses, skin colour, makeup, changing lighting conditions and fast head movements.
