Lightning striking power pole

Video Description:
Lightning strikes a power pole on the 27/11/06 during a wild electrical storm near Byron Bay in far northern New South Wales, Australia.
Those sparks right after the strike are shooting from the top of the pole.
Amazingly the power only went out for a few seconds.

Ive stood looking out that window this footage was filmed from,That shape in the distance is an old water tank with a tree growing out the top and the dark patch in front is sugarcane.I did see all the anomalies mentioned in the comments on the original tape. Its an Amazing bit of nature at work court on film anyways..

it may have been a positive streamer, When i first noticed it on the original,It looks like it makes it all the way to the lens on the camera, it makes a click or a tic sound. And the picture has interference at that point as well. Its a good 300 Mtrs away from the main strike, Filmed from an enclosed balcony and about 15ft from the ground

I really thought it was a positive streamer, but I researched it more... as it turns out, there is a very common occurrence when video-taping lightning. There is a kind of foreshadow effect, like a reflection or something. The way to tell is the color of the supposed streamer (it should be pink or purplish) and also the shape. If you can isolate this video frame by frame, the "streamer" is the exact same shape as the lightning. That wouldn't happen. Search "positive streamers" on YouTube.
