Do our actions influence their abilities to grow, thrive, and reproduce? Can they read our thoughts and do our actions, moods, and feelings influence them? What would plants talk about? I imagine it would be relative to what Douglas Adams wrote. "He learned to communicate with birds and discovered that their conversation was fantastically boring. It was all to do with wind speed, wingspans, power-to-weight ratios and a fair bit about berries. Unfortunately, he discovered, once you have learned to speak birdspeak you quickly come to realize that the air is full of it the whole time, just inane bird chatter. There is no getting away from it."

In Search Of... was the best show ever. I used to watch this show with my dad when I was a kid, and it has influenced my life in two big ways. One, it inculcated in me an interest in unexplained phenomena. Two, its theme and background music placed in me a deep and abiding love of the Moog.

Okay, I know I'll sound like a big nerd saying this, but I think that lady's experiment was fabulous; I come from a long line of green thumbs, but I'm a brown thumb. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I expose my poor plants to 80s electronica and Led Zeppelin? My Mom's plants never die, and she's always playing something like Vivaldi, lol. Now I've gotta go try that experiment for myself.
