Christian lobby groups believe homosexuality is a mental disorder. They've set up over a hundred camps to cure gay patients via re-orientation therapy.
Richard Cohen's life has been transformed. Once struggling with his sexuality, he is now "exclusively heterosexual" having attended a conversion camp. With six week programmes costing $6000, such cures are big business. Former patient and fierce critic, Wayne Besen believes they are dangerous; "Hurting people, and creating stigma so gays want to change." By their own admission, only 30% of patients are fully cured. The 70% left behind believe they have failed God. According to Rev. Mel White many attempt suicide; "I'm a failure and I should die."

Ok, so I claimed to be gay since I've known of sexuality. I didn't think there was any other option. I related and was only attracted to them emotionally and mentally. Throughout the years I've grown a more physical attraction towards the opp sex. I'm not saying that the attraction towards men is gone, It will never be. But the idea of change is not so elusive. It takes time, certain exposure, and definitely no assistance from these featured hacks in this video.

when I say "them," I mean "females." Apologies for that. I feel sorry for those who actually commit themselves to this therapy, especially the ones against their own will[teens]. It's stifles natural feelings and seeds a loathing of the self.
And I just want to say, my experience and changed perspectives are probably one in hundreds, maybe thousands. Who knows? Some people will remain gay, with their mindsets and that's ok!!!

You're right about the self hate thing, a study held by elite phycologists showed that people who said they were against gay and lesbians, were actually gay themselves. According to Sigmund Freud (the current father of phycology) people who are gay were just people who developed differently within the Oedipus Complex. These "gay curing" facilities and merchandise are an unproven science, and there's no science or studies to back them.
