Well I know he is a "self-described socialist" and since there is nothing wrong with that, who cares.
It doesn't change the fact he is right one bit.
Plus at least he is honest and his concern is for the public as compared to the corporate right-wing hypocrites who claim to love the free market yet ensure they get socialism for themselves and the rest of us get the so called free market which isn't very free as the costs to us the taxpayer shows.

The idea is preposterous. How do you know who has made money off this? I mean , sure, you know some of them but certainly not most. So is he suggesting that we allow the government to violate anyone who made alot of money these last few years, and pilfer through their private financial lives? That would be a huge violation of their constitutional rights. The people who bought the houses are just as responsible.

Sanders doesn't understand or just won't talk about the fact that the only form of taxation that will not be destructive is the tax on land value which, because it is created 100% by the community, does not penalize anything labor or capital does. Continuing the taxation of labor and capital in this environment will only make the problem worse and play into the legitimate complaints of conservatives about bad taxation. Taxation of community created land values is the only good and just tax.
