Of course you will, if you know that the gold will remain untoched by the person giving you the bread, and that the same gold will be back in your hand once again. That's how things worked in the past, and that's why it's the wisest choice to back up a currency. It's valuable in ways that you can print money to regulate the economy without real devaluation, just by fixing how much gold the bill is backed up with acording to its market value.

You bring up an excellent point gotveggieoil that voting really isn't enough. I knew Obama and McCain really weren't very different and BOTH voted for the outrageous 700 billion dollar sellout of the American people.
