Will Internet Infomercials Destroy Television Advertising?

Video Description:
http://www.InfomercialToolkit.com Internet Infomercials Debut on Google. Is Television Advertising Dead?
As Google continues to dominate paid advertising with over $1B in advertising revenue last year, they're poised to dominate online video next with sponsored Internet Infomercials.
Last week, Google started putting video ads on search results. Anyone who types "Olympics" or "Winter Olympics" can see an example of what Google has in store for search customers in the near future.
The search results include a video thumbnail that lets a viewer watch or download a video.
Online advertisers see the writing on the wall: soon, they'll be able to add their own Internet Infomercials on Google's search results that entice viewers to visit their web sites and buy their wares.
KickStartMedia.com, a startup company in San Diego, has a head start selling tools that teach small businesses and online entrepreneurs how to make their own Internet Infomercials with one goal in mind: converting viewers into buyers.
Mike Koenigs and Rocket Helstrom released The Internet Infomercial Toolkit two weeks ago. A combination of DVDs, audio CDs and online tools gives their clients everything they need to make sales-driving web videos. "All the customer needs a camcorder or webcam, some off-the-shelf software and a laptop to make their own Internet Infomercials for less than $1,000. Some people do it at no cost if they already have the tools", says Helstrom.
Mike Koenigs reports, "The Infomercial Industry has collectively generated over 100 billion dollars in sales over the past 20 years. We applied the same sales formula to sell products and services online. We give our customers step-by-step instructions and push-button software that writes a script in minutes. If you can use a camcorder, internet browser and word processor, you can put an Internet Infomercial on a web site."
Mike and Rocket should know. Their Infomercial Toolkit sold hundreds of copies in a couple of days with only word-of-mouth advertising.

"We were overjoyed and amazed with the feedback and response we received during the initial launch", says Helstrom. "In the near future, we'll be watching Internet Infomercials on our computers, video iPods, PDAs and cell phones. The programming might be disguised as television, but the programs will educate, entertain and inform watchers, eventually driving them to web sites to buy sponsors' products and services."
Why the sudden surge and interest in Internet Infomercials? Helstrom and Koenigs respond with three key trends that are fueling this market niche:
1. 75% of all internet users have broadband access. New cell phones can display video. Last quarter, Apple sold over 12 million iPods (many with video capabilities) and more are being sold every quarter.
2. The technology to make Internet Infomercials is cheap and easy to operate. Online entrepreneurs and small businesses are starting to realize they can make Internet Infomercials with equipment and software that costs less than $1,000."
3. The costs associated with hosting and delivering video content is cheap and in many cases, free. Google's new video program allows anyone to upload and display video at no charge, eventually hoping to cash in by selling video content and online advertising.
Koenigs and Helstrom offer a free downloadable eBook on their web site, "How Internet Infomercials Will Transform Your Business" at no charge to web visitors that request a copy at www.InfomercialToolkit.com. There are sample videos and detailed information on the program
What's next for the Internet Infomercial pioneers? Koenigs glows with a big smile. "Keep your eyes on us this summer for our next big thing. We have something really cool in development."

STOP IT RIGHT THERE ... ( 2 years ago by BushidoHacks)
STOP IT RIGHT THERE! To you the YouTube viewer. This man proposition is to make the Internet more like The Virus (a.k.a. Television). We've all encountered BS like this and even worse TRICKED, DECIEVED, and BOMBARDED to watch this, read this, or listen to this over and over. Give this a ZERO rating or better yet, flag it as inappropriate! Keep The Virus off the Internet!
I've always thought ... ( 2 years ago by delinq)
I've always thought somebody should do an infomercial where the business they advertise is infomercial production- like if there's so much money in real estate schemes and classified ads, why is the guy in the business of doing infomercials?
The main downside, and the reason I rated this clip a 1 is that it's likely the most boring infomercial ever, and if you can't make a good one yourself, how are you going to teach anybody else?

YOU'RE RIGHT! Iam thinking about offering to produce infomercial video, but not just for advertising . also for entertaining. So the infomercial clips must be short and entertaining!
