My Power Mac G4

Video Description:
The second addition to my Mac collection. This is a Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) from 1999. It originally had a problem where the secondary IDE controller on the logic board was broken so the CD drive and the zip drive didn't work. But the hard drive did but there was nothing on it so the Power Mac was useless for a day or two. However I managed to get an extra long IDE cable and connect the hard drive and the CD drive on the same cable and install Mac OS X and that's what you see in this video.
I'm collecting all New World Macs (since the iMac G3) with PowerPC processors (not Intel). I will upload videos of each of them when I get them.

Nice work man. Leopard is lame on the g4 anyway so don't even worry about it. Check out the upgrades i did to my Gigabit ethernet. Its a screamer now :).

cool mine is the AGP graphics version too, thats oldest mac I have, I have three intel mac minis & a Macbook, my next mac will be an emac g4 or a iMac G5 I'm not too sure

Yeah. I like the way the keyboard hugs the case edge. Sadly, they are aging, and have a Geek-bench score of about 747. Macbook Air PWNS a Powerbook G4 in terms of performance.

Geez.. Leopard runs very fast on my dual 1.25 MDD 2003 model! Maybe some G4's its slow, but mine its fast.

Just the iMac G3 and Power Mac G4 videos are dark. The rest are okay as I did see that this darkness was an issue and tried to fix that in later videos by either using an extra light or a brighter part of the day.
However the iBook G3 video was so dark that no one could even see the screen so I ended up re-uploading that one.

If you mean audio CDs, then you can use iTunes for that.

Well it depends on what kind of Power Mac model it is. The model in this video had a DVD-ROM drive meaning it could read CDs and DVDs but not write them.
