Unfortunately no. Eve is limited that way. You just buy or make the ship and its done. You really cant make it custom though you can put special riggs on a ship.

whel im playing this game for 4 days now and im all into it it's great and the map is so huge like the real space ;) but true is that the game is expensive too so it's not like all can aford it! But this 14days trail is nice :D

All looks nice and pretty, and the 14 day trial was interestin, but CCP are not getting a penny from me till they fix the problem of tiny fonts on large monitors like mine-24 inch-that use resolution of 1920 x 1200, if they can't or won't I'll never bother with Eve again. Anyone want a million isk ?

Well actually, the customization of your ships is to be deployed with the nearest expansion somewhere in the first quarter of 2009 if you are interested there is a short movie on youtube about it from the fanfest few days ago, just search for "eve fanfest 2008 customization" this option + the whole fitting thing will just make building things so sweet :) see you in space!

I appreciate the response. Sounds like you are a game designer or a loyal eve fan. The intention of what we are bothy talking about is that EVE has no player made content. On Ultima Online you can make a piece of leather Armor that is unique in every way. One of a kind and also with the Makers name on it to boot. Cant do it in EVE. EVE simply has computer generated items. None unique. There is a big difference. I will keep my EVE account and pray this changes. Thanks man.

I've done the trial and frankly, I only stayed for the graphics. They ran seamlessely on my crappy computer. But the game is SOOOO boring. gameplay 4/10. graphics 15/10

Loyal EVE fan :) Now I know what you mean, and no, unfortunately there is no such option, but it seems like the game designers are awere of this issue and try to do a bit in that direction, maybe one day, who knows. I find EVE the most interesting MMORPG on the market even without it, but it is just me.
