Of course is not going to be free, doh! who doesn't pay for a T1 connection or a Wi-Fi connection? there are SOME free places but it's not as personal as wimax

2) No. But, for instance, in laptops, Wi-Fi won't disapear when WiMAX starts to appear in that devices.
Don't worry about client access to WiMAX. The technology it's still being investigated and will probably be used, for now, as backbone of Wi-Fi connections and rural access.

Yes, u have to buy a Wimax CPE. later there will be Wi-fi/Wimax CPE's. but for now you need the 2, because they work on different frequencies.

quasrs says HSDPA and zazkolik says wimax isn't safe... you're both wrong, because wimax is superior in many ways, including security. It's only a matter of time before this is everywhere and traditional ISPs are mostly obsolete.
