Yes it is. Triplet is triplet (one two three, one two three), and accenting on 16th every 3rd note, is accenting the 3rd note. So acctually you were askin': is there a difference between triplet and accent? :) That's a bad question.

I am pretty sure of a few things.
1) He had a tech who didn't do everything Macro asked.
2) You can see how he is tuning the bottom of the head..Likely because he wanted the rims a little higher at the bottom to do easy rim shots.
if you tighten the ... ( 3 weeks ago by lgeoghegan)
if you tighten the head down, the rims will go DOWN, not UP
When you lower the ... ( 3 weeks ago by jmr2master)
When you lower the rim of the drum where you do rim shots, it becomes easier to do rim shots because the center of the drum head, and the rim shot area are closer to parallel..
you said he was ... ( 3 weeks ago by lgeoghegan)
you said he was bringing them UP.....
it all depends on technique anyway, some people prefer them higher than others
some people just don't need to make it "easier" to do rimshots
after all, the height of the rim will be largely dictated by the tuning, raise or lower the rim, and you're adjusting the tuning
technique prevails where your logic fails
Exactly. If you go ... ( 3 weeks ago by d0g69s)
Exactly. If you go on these clinics, you sometimes see that they rbing there own kit (unless you are Bozzio or Lang, etc.) The drum stores sponsering this and the drum company get the equipment to the clinic, and perhaps (if there's time) the drummer will tune and sound check, etc. I have seen clinics where they literally will sell the kit and cymbals after a performance.
My mistake, I ... ( 3 weeks ago by jmr2master)
My mistake, I should have typed the drum head center being closer to the rims top then the rim moving up... Ya got me!
