The Byrds are not even comparable to Dylan. Dylan has written at least 100 songs far greater than the Byrds could even imagine. So what if the Byrds can cover Dylans songs and make it sound catchy. This is not difficult, all it requires is good production, not talent.

Like all teenagers, I had a dream for what I wanted to be when I grew up. It wasnt to be rich or famous or healthy. It wasnt to be married or have kids or have a career. My dream was that Id grow up to a be a better man that my SOB father. Im pleased to say my dream came true, along with some other nice stuff as well.

Hmmmm.....kinda like apples and oranges. One day I like tasting an apple, the next day an orange tastes mighty fine. Each has it's place. The raw, folk version; the well produced, slick version. I purchased my first Dylan LP in 1963, but I also purchased The Byrds LP later. Both have contributed.
