About 300 protesters have gathered outside Bar Council headquarters demanding that the lawyers group halt its controversial forum on 'Conversion to Islam' this morning.

The Bar Council today, adhereing to the advice of the police - and an angry mob at its doorstep - wrapped up its half-day forum on 'Conversion to Islam' at 10am, an hour after it had started.
Earlier about 300 protesters have gathered outside Bar Council headquarters demanding that the lawyers group halt its controversial forum on 'Conversion to Islam'.

The Almighty is our Protector and He does not need our protection. We are merely His creation. Don't try to play god. The attitude of the protesters is doing the religion a big disservice. The Bar Council is not questioning the Islamic faith but rather the jurisdictional point of view which is perfectly legitimate. No sensitive issue all all. Umno is trying to play fire with God - the day of reckoning is near and real. Your days are numbered.

Do you think this forum was threatening Islam?
It was a forum to discuss why muslims (not by birth and by birth) are so difficult to return back to their birth religion or convert to another religions.
It was a forum to improve our knowledge of Islam Law in Malaysia.
It was a forum for all Law Professions and adults to put themselves into a problem-solving situation. So that in the future, people will know how to resolve the same matters.
Was it too offensive?? I am not too sure about it.

People always say Muslims as fanatics, in some part of the world that may be right, but in Malaysia we are tolerant enough. I repeat, we are tolerant enough! Malaysian Chinese are so lucky that they ancestors didn't end up in Indonesia. The Malays of Indonesia did not even let them preserve their identity.
