Well, how much do you know about the martial arts exactly? Why an individual would Train Tang Soo Do AND 3 forms of Karate, AND taekwondo AND wushu seems totally rediculous and repetitive...They all share slight differences but it's the same deal....Unless he was training them all for mental benefits of training the "Art", i can't see how else it would be useful, it most certainly Is not practical.

When someone trains all these styles, it sounds to me like it's about the Novelty of doing so...Not actually for any type of purpose...I mean doesn't he train with some Kickboxing camp now? Which is the Zenith of striking martial arts, i'd like to ask him how much his Goju and Wushu helps him out there, he must've turned to kickboxing for a good reason after all these years

I personally respect the patience that he is for earning all those black belts, because im a Judoka and understand the kindof patience it takes...However that still doesn't detract from the fact that im totally puzzled by it

These are very practical defensive martial arts, yeah they have similarities which is possibly why it was easy for him to get black belts in them. And in combination with all these have made him a very formidable fighter, a Kyokushin Karate fighter does train hard and is able to do some serious damage, with his power from Kyokushin, speed from wushu, grace from gojuryu and skills of tae kwon do he can definitely do some serious damage.

please explain if you can, cos from what i am seeing in his physique, speed and flexibility he is able to use all his skills very effectively. He is mentally and physically disciplined by his styles!

I know he is....but in real combat things work a little bit differently, mastering forms, and being very disciplined in the art will not really get you there, and many people found this out the hard way...Of course if you want to do it for the benefits of studying the Art to provide more clarity to your purpose in life i think its very effective....In real violence? i don't think so
