Well I'd just have to have a good sense of humour then. He's a stand up comedian, he's not serious about what he's talking about. Provoking is something he has to do to keep the audience awake and that's what Bill Hicks was good at. Someone marketed his performance and without them he wouldn't have that big of an audience.
