The bank of England has raised rates to 5.75%. ING offer only 5% interest. The best saving providers offer 6.3%.
I dumped ING a few years ago when they sent me an email to tell that they were reducing their rate, they did this before the Bank of England made their rate decision - I thought to myself now that they have drawn in many customers they will begin to lower their rates - I was right!!!
Dump them!!! ING are Trash!!!

You have to wonder--what does this guy care whether customers are earning more interest? What does he care whether they have lower rates on their mortgages? What other than money does he stand to gain? Are we really supposed to believe he gives a damn?
And what's this about being the low-cost operator? Once the low-cost operators have displaced their competitors, wouldn't that give them the freedom to once again raise loan rates and lower return rates at their discretion?

I'm impressed with ING. I've been with them for 6 years. I can go into my bank down the street and they'll only give me less than 1% on my checking account and add so many little rules/fees. Same applies to what they call savings accounts. ING is straight and simple. I'm very happy doing business with them. The beauty of the internet is that if ING ever becomes uncompetitive I can easily find a new bank in the matter of minutes and they know it.

I like ING. I know that all banks lower their rates from time to time. Its the nature of business. But overall they provide a competitive rate and have friendly service. I find it very convenient. The only think I would change is the wait time between transfers. But, I still like what ING stands for...normal people who just want to save without hassels.Free ATM use is also real nice feature. I am grateful for this banks integrity. They are honest and even handed.

ING - Great Bank, Great Service.
They really turned the Australian deposit market upside down. Rates are no longer competitive, with most local banks paying higher interest. Still a great player, although Rabo/Bankwest have now stolen the limelight that ING held in the early 2000's.

ING evolved where other banks did not. We are lucky to have mavericks like ING pushing for change. It only is to help the people.

A few days ago, ING Direct changed the fees for international transactions. They did not announce the change in any manner. I witnessed powerlessly how all my Paypal transactions which had yet to post were increased by the crooks. Also, Arkadi sends each 2-3 months such stupid emails that you would unsubscribe on the spot - if only you would be able.
