No problem. There is an online editor of sorts that allows you to build pages, and a web-based FTP client as well, but I would recommend one of the clients you listed, or if you're good with web coding you could write up your own files and upload them with any FTP client - I use WS FTP Pro (there are free versions still floating around the net).

You don't have to use their skins. You can connect to and upload to the server via any FTP program, and write your own XHTML, PHP, Ajax, and CSS, and upload whatever media types you see fit (it's just like any other server space you pay for). You definitely DO NOT have to use any pre-made skins!

Go to univoxdesigns (dot) com (that's my web development firm), which is currently hosted at 000webhost. As you can see, there is no need to use templates or anything, you can make 100% natural, PHP-based websites.

When I setup the video, the first link was suspended so that the company could make sure the site wasn't malicious (it only takes about a day for them to check), but I already had the other account setup, so I put the page on the second one and suggested people click that one while the first account was being checked. Basically, it doesn't matter which link you use now, but at the time one wasn't working, if that makes sense.

No sadly you'd have to buy a domain from a different provider (I use GoDaddy), and once you do there is instructions on both the domain provider and the host's site about how to set it all up. Just register an account on the hosting site with your domain that you bought and then you can link them up. Domains are only about $8 a year, so it's very affordable.
